Glumac
Whitney Peabody
Firm History Dick Glumac immigrated to North America when his Yugoslavian water polo team defected to the West in 1951. Twenty years later Dick founded an engineering company in San Francisco, and in 1976 the company incorporated as Glumac & Associates. Over the next 37 years the firm expanded, opening offices in Sacramento, Portland, Irvine, Los Angeles, Seattle, Silicon Valley and Las Vegas. In 2000, the separate offices of Glumac & Associates merged into a single corporation. The firm continues to grow, with plans to open additional offices to meet the needs of our increasing client base. What is Glumac? Glumac is a full-service mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) consulting engineering firm with eight full-service offices on the West Coast. Glumac specializes in cost-effective, sustainable design of commercial, institutional, healthcare and advanced technology facilities worldwide. In addition to core MEP services, Glumac offers lighting design, technology integration, and building commissioning services that complement and enhance our core capabilities. Core Values “Great People, Great Projects.” We focus on recruiting and retaining great people. We collaborate internally and with our clients and contractors. We use the best ideas and experience of our staff to provide innovative solutions to our clients’ projects and to continuously improve our operations.

C. Overaa & Co.
Jennifer Sebay
Overaa Construction, founded in 1907, continues today as a 4th generation, family-owned and operated general contractor. Diverse… innovative…cutting edge…Search the landscape throughout Northern California and you will find a silent testimony to Overaa’s handiwork. Over one hundred years of great projects, great people, great family.
Headquartered in the East Bay, the company conducts operations throughout Northern California. Overaa is a well-established, dynamic and growing firm, which is consistently recognized as one of the top national and local contractors. Our award winning projects are found in almost every major city in the Bay Area. We are unique among our competitors, because we are “real builders”, self performing a significant amount of the work - all phases of concrete, mechanical, rough and finish carpentry and millwork. Services include design-build and design-assist, all areas of general construction, preconstruction, budgeting services and construction management.
We are a major regional player, with an emphasis on commercial buildings, education, parking structures, water infrastructure, energy and power, healthcare, laboratory and technology, transportation, federal government, religious and cultural, and multi-family housing.
We have a 7-acre headquarters with production facilities, fabricating area, training area, extensive storage capacity and equipment yard.
We were ranked #2 Largest “East Bay” Commercial Contractor by East Bay Business Times and we rank every year on the prestigious Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 400 Contractors list.
A stable firm, we have nearly 300 employees, with numerous 20-year plus loyal company veterans in the field and office.
