Founders' Awards

HISTORY

The SMPS SFBAC Founders’ Awards Program began in 2001 as a forum to recognize chapter firms for achieving excellence in Marketing Communications in the built environment, and to recognize an individual Marketer of the Year, whose extraordinary expertise and achievements serve as a model for A/E/C marketing professionals.  The Awards Program is now held biennially in event years.

The Founders’ Awards is named to pay homage to the Chapter’s Founders, many of whom are no longer with us but whose legacy we acknowledge and benefit from today because of the road they were willing to pave. This small handful of pioneers came together in the late 1970s to share their marketing knowledge, experience and support in the then new field of marketing A/E/C professional services.  Click here to read more about the chapter’s founders and history.

The Founders’ Awards Program salutes those members who exemplify excellence in our profession as we continue to pave the road begun those many years ago.
